Circle C - Description
Development of the Circle C neighborhood began in the 1980's when it was at the far South edge of Austin. The city has subsequently grown out to meet the community, and construction has continued with additional sub-divisions through the early 2010's. The schools in the area are very highly rated making the community very desirable for young families.
Circle C - Location
The community begins at the intersection of Mopac and Slaughter lane and extends South/Southwest. The close proximity to Mopac (Loop 1) gives residents quick access to downtown Austin (when it's not rush hour!), and also to Lake Travis and other Hill Country destinations. When it was first developed, the location was relatively isolated. Now the road system has been expanded and the retail center at Escarpment Village gives area residents easy access to groceries, pet care, restaurants, eclectic shops, etc. You can also find "Big Box" stores like COSTCO along with other retail shops and dining establishments within easy driving distance at Arbor Trails.
Circle C - Amenities
The community boasts an olympic sized pool which is available to area HOA members. Located with the pool are play-scapes, barbeque facilities, and sporting fields. At the entrance to Circle C, you are treated to views of the expansive Metropolitan Park on Slaughter Creek where you'll find walking/running trails and a frisbee golf course. This Park is a popular destination for area residents. And their pets! The Ladybird Johnson Wildlife Center is just across Mopac and also a popular destination.
